Hike-Who?

Haiku is one of the most important form of traditional Japanese poetry. Haiku is, today, a 17-syllable verse form consisting of three metrical units of 5, 7, and 5 syllables.

I tried to compose one Haiku. Damn it! I can't make the syllable count correctly. To balance this and the meaning is pretty difficult. After a little search for Haikus in tamil, i realized nobody is strict about the count. All they aiming for is 3 lines with preference for the middle line to be bigger.
Freakonomics blog had a Haiku contest in economics. The winner was

Haiku writers know

Of a syllable.
