Black or white? - Part II

Is it really logical to define fair skin as beautiful.?
Lets begin with purpose of life. What is the purpose of life? I want to be kind, be famous, be rich, be helpful, be adventurous........... In reality the sole purpose of your birth is to reproduce so that your kind is not extinct. WWHAAAAATTTTTT? you senseless Neanderthal. Hold your tongue a bit guys.
Agree or not we are born to reproduce. May be our sixth sense wont agree but that is how nature has designed not only us but the entire animal kingdom.
If nature comes to you and tell copulate with your opposite sex so as to continue your family tree. will you do that? Ofcourse not, what is in it for you? Thats why it has come with sexual feelings, harmones, and...love. Please shahjahan don't get me wrong. Even your divine love is because nature wanted it u to reproduce. Nature has this bait called attraction. This attraction shud b logical. Nature wants only toughest to survive in this world. So, the attraction should lead to a successful birth, not miscarriages. birth of a tough offspring, not a stupid sopalangi(weak guy).
Hip and waist size, full lips, defined cheeks, and sizable breasts are all controlled by female sex hormones.
Tall figure, broad shoulders, prominent cheekbones, a strong jaw, hair in body are all dependent on male sex harmones.
So a person having all these features is the alpha male or female. These not only indicate harmone secretion but also shows how healthy you are. So logically everyone gets attracted to an opposite sex person so as to have an offspring strong enough to survive the world.
Now wait...aren't we living in a civilized world? we are not in some jungle. Exactly, we humans have evolved so the defintion of features of attraction should also evolve. Not every day you fight with someone to show your physical strength. Intelligence should be the feature we should be looking into.
Time to return to our original discussion. As you can see there is no place for colour in mutual attraction. Atleast logically speaking. All those guys who feel superior because of fair skin and inferior because of dark skin, you are really stupid. If you dont agree, leave it atleast nature would agree with me.
Disclaimer: Next time if your eyes unknowningly goes to see a women's breast. Dont feel bad. You are programmed to do so.

    Even though Part II has slightly deviated from the original topic, it had its own interesting things to discuss. I would say that marriage is a need for human being as like other basic needs food, clothing and shelter. But the difference between both the needs is that basic needs are needed immediately after birth till death and marriage is needed after certain maturity in life. Why I deviate and suddenly bring this topic is that I came across a couple of girls who say that they don't like arranged marriage and they are bored of it and they believe only in love marriage. Their justification is that only love is true and the affection arising out of arranged marriage is not as real as love. Well here comes my question what makes them think only love marriage is true? Are they not aware that marriage is a need or they simply follow the laws of attraction and they don't pay attention to their sixth sense or they are born to keep love alive? Anybody there to help me understand their mind?

    Man, you really think you are very logical... Let me test your statements...

    Agree or not we are born to reproduce. May be our sixth sense wont agree but that is how nature has designed not only us but the entire animal kingdom.
    Nature has designed us to eat and excrete. Does eating and excreting become the purpose of life? Nature has designed us to die. Does death become the purpose of life? And so on for everything we can do.
    You thought you have an easy answer to the purpose of life? Not so fast kid... If your sole purpose in life is to reproduce, do you plan to die after having your children (or may be after they become self-sufficient)?

    Thats why it has come with sexual feelings, harmones, and...love. Please shahjahan don't get me wrong. Even your divine love is because nature wanted it u to reproduce.
    I'm not sure which Shahjahan you are talking to, but not all love is meant for reproduction (hint, think of your mom, your siblings etc.) Sexual attraction and love are two different things.

    Nature has this bait called attraction. This attraction shud b logical.
    Oh really! What validity does your statement have? Is there logic in attraction? Haven't you seen some really weird attractions? Can all attraction be reasoned by logic?

    Nature wants only toughest to survive in this world.
    One more absolute truth, from someone who knows what nature wants! If nature wanted only toughest to survive, why did it create the weak?

    As you can see there is no place for colour in mutual attraction. Atleast logically speaking.
    If you can see the things as they are (I highly doubt if you can), your theory of attraction based only on potential reproductive capabilities etc. fails miserably. Attraction cannot be explained by your theory.

    What you have stated essentially is that "this is how attraction should be, logically, and even though it doesn't happen as per my theory, I am correct in explaining it anyway because I used logic"

    Boss - i think u didn't get the point.

    We are sixth sense built over 5 sense animal. If u hv time, just count the number of animals that die after mating or reproducing.

    Thinking capability makes us deviate from what nature wants us to do. As part of evolution we have our own way of doing this. But still we cling on to our animal instincts on several occasions.

    I am no biologist or animal scientist. I see world fits this way.

    1) I have my own views on the purpose of life. Every species in the world lives its life only for creating a better future for its successors - sex/mating is only a part of it. Let us take a honey bee - worker bees sacrifice its life to safe guard and serve the Queen bee. Though worker bees are female species, they don't get a chance to fuck during their life time.

    If you look at people like Vajpayee, Mother Teresa and all other virgin-real-life-super-heroes, though they haven't had sex in their life, we can't say that they led a purpose-less life. They have served the community better and made the lives of others better - which I would say is the real purpose of life.

    2) Color - I think, it's fundamentally because the world, more specifically Indians are/were ruled by Whites - First the Aryans (had fairer skin than the Dravidians), later by British and now, virtually by Americans, who dictate the world economy.
    So, it's very natural for the darkish Indians to envy the white people, who were dictating terms.

    So, it's psychologically answers why Indians are seeking fairer skin. (I end with this line, due to lack of time, but I wannna add more to this, may be it's worth a blog).

    Aryan supremacy shud b the very first explanation that must come to our mind. If that is specific to india, how come through out the world black is considered evil and white as good.
    May be all story tellers wudn't able to sell their ghost theory if the ghosts and evil roamed in day light. Thats where night was made evil guy's time and hence the general pairing b/n evil and black.

    @Senthil
    I dont think marriage is like F/C/S. u can live without marriage or even sex. marriage is just a man-made institution to create some sanity in the mad race for the other sex ;)

    the women who say that they trust only in love marriage are actually very right. being in a relationship with someone lets u understand the other person before proceeding to get married. whether u accept or not - u are always being evaluated by the other sex, to see if u r "marriage material" ;)

    laws of attraction - is very true. the point to remember here is that different ppl get attracted towards different aspects in an individual.

    @mbawise:
    One more absolute truth, from someone who knows what nature wants! If nature wanted only toughest to survive, why did it create the weak?
    There is a huge argument about this based on the Darwin school of thought and the evolution school of thought. From ur other points, i assume u already know abt the argument, but were just questioning ram.

    @kart:
    If you look at people like Vajpayee, Mother Teresa and all other virgin-real-life-super-heroes, though they haven't had sex in their life, we can't say that they led a purpose-less life.
    Are you sure they never had sex in life??? They just never married. That's the only absolute truth we know ;)

    @ram:
    If that is specific to india, how come through out the world black is considered evil and white as good.
    Just take a look at the world dude. It is the whites who always ruled the black. There might be minor exceptions - but the general trend is what i mentioned.

    Abt the post - i think it is a short sighted view of life! Widen ur thought process man.

    @iday
    I don't know much about Darwin or evolution schools of thought or the related arguments.
    I read the statement "Nature wants only toughest to survive in this world." and this doesn't look right. It may be that the tough one survives, but if Nature wanted only tough ones to survive, Nature wouldn't have created weak ones in first place!

    Anyway, if answers to these were so simple, there would not have been any argument at all. It's just that when I see some empty logic, with a statement like "believe it or not, this is how it is...", I get a little angry :-)
    First of all, the reasoning is all messed up and very narrow-minded, and on top of it, this "I know everything" attitude, is like height of ignorance!

    @Ram
    Sorry, I shouldn't be so harsh! But if you really want to know the purpose of life or to understand human nature, you'll have to be more open minded. This know-it-all attitude will keep you trapped in the illusion that you know much, but you'll not reach anywhere. If you are really so curious in these topics, read some ancient Hindu texts. You'll be amazed at the knowledge contained in them.

    mbawise - u r right about the fact that this is not simple, and hence there are many arguments about this.

    we once had a discussion about it in my previous workplace, and it turned out to be really awesome - with people throwing in opinions from different perspectives.
